  • Habitat

    Wide, heavily grazed meadow crossing muddy ranch road.With Carex, Achillea millefolium, Cirsium, Trifolium, Taraxacum, Iris, Antennaria. Scrub surrounding meadow evidently burned and densely infested with Bromus tectorum, with recovering Artemisia tridentata, Purshia tridentata, Prunus andersonii, Phlox stansburyi, Chrysothamnus viscidiflorus. Common in meadow and along road ruts. Fine silty soil of pumice and granitic origin.
