    Exposed narrow rocky ridgeline running S-N. With Pinus monophylla, Juniperus occidentalis, Artemisia tridentata, Holodiscus microphylla, Cercocarpus ledifolius. Uncommon. Bishop tuff rhyolite with shallow pumice alluvium downslope.

    inconspicuous shrubs, <5 dm tall, usually under Pinyons. Flowers pale yellow. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.
