Disturbed roadside on coarse pumice soil, with road cinders. Adjacent slopes of Pinus jeffreyi forest with Artemisia tridentata/ Purshia tridentata understory. With Salsola tragus, Ambrosia acanthacarpa, Phacelia hastata, Eriasstrum sparsiflorum, Eriognonum esmeraldense, Sisymbrium altissimum. Common roadside.
