    High woody climber, to ca. 10m. with erect flower spikes borne above the surrounding foliage. Flowers fragrant with calyx deep brown. Petals bright purple, standard with lemon-yellow blotch at base. Pods unripe, green. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.
