In forest on a sharp slope, associated with other bamboo (C. E. C. & R. S. P. 2232).

Description
About 10-12 m high, leaning over vegetation. Culms solid, flexible, rather thin, ca. 1.5 cm in diameter, forming small clumps not very dense. Culm leaves persistant with deciduous blade. Surface of culms and branches smooth pubescent. One main, thick branch per node and several thin ones from the sides. Not many plants seen in flower. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
