Description
Similar to R. pallida in habit, but stouter and with broader leaf-blades; spikelets rather numerous, borne in a single terminal cluster, fusiform, chestnut-colored, 5-6 mm long, scales abruptly short-pointed, mostly 3-4 mm long; perianth-bristles very short or wanting; achene suborbicular or oval-orbicular, about 2 mm long, pale, minutely pitted, the tubercle prominent, somawhat deppresed. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
