Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Version 2012. Georeferenced to the approximate geographic center of the restinga vegetation of Barra da Tijuca in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Used Google Maps - Map and Earth Views to locate the restinga/beach area of the city of Barra da Tijuca. Used the Google Maps – Measure Distance Tool to measure from the beginning of the beach (at: -23.022486, -43.447271) to the farthest extent of the beach (at: -23.014448, -43.297503), then halved this distance to find the midpoint of the line.
