Steep, gravelly south-facing slope of sagebrush hills. Gray-brown sandy loam soil, pH ca. 6.7.

Description
Corollas deep blue-violet, the lobes on some more blue; staminode white; anthers blue-black; nectar with a sweet fragrance; most plants in young fruit, old corollas dark blue. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
