  • Habitat

    Campo cerrado (a type of scrubby woodland originally) on upland, or occasionally forest. Open marsh or dense secondary forest along streams. This habitat: Cultivated field, originally cerrado, recently abandoned. Scattered herbs & shrubs of the cerrado vegetation returning. Soil poor, reddish-brown fine sand with some clay.
