    In scrub flats dominated by zanthozylum faga, Disopyros texana, Ziziphus, berberis trifoliolata, Prosopis glandulosa, and Acacia with tragia, Ipomoes, Conoclinium, Sida, Croton, and Bothriochloa sachharoides in the understory. Occasional to abundant.

    Ray florets light blue to white (Proximally); plants to 1 m. tall; stems naked below, appearing woody, branching above, from a short taproot; basal leaves none. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
