United States of America. California. Mono Co. 1.25 miles north 42° east of Eva Belle Mine in upper Cottonwood Creek basin, Fishlake Valley drainage.

Habitat
Granite colluvium sloping 15° northeast. Subalpine sagebrush scrub with Purshia, Artemisia, Tetradymia, Linanthastrum. Locally common in the subalpine.

Description
Tree ca. 8 m. high and 2 m. d.b.h. with several dead snags. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
