South-facing 30-degree rocky slope beside road. Associated flora: Lesquerella aurea, Habenaria sparsiflorus, Silene laciniata, Phacelia alba, Helenium hoopesii, Thelypodiopsis vaseyi. In limestone-derived, brown, clayey-loam soil lacking organic horizon.
