Mexico. Jalisco. Lower-middle slopes of southeast corner of main volcanic ridge of the Sierra de Manantlán, 3 km airline distance north of and 660 m. elev. above Telcruz, 15 km (airline distance) northwest of Minatitlán, 40 km due southeast of Autlán.

Habitat
Dry pine-oak forest along second, unnamed arroyo (east of the one along which we had ascended ealier). With characteristic groundlayer spp: Polygala sp., Rhynchosia tarphantha, Halenia brevicornis, Salvia lavanduloides, Penstemon apateticus, Lobelia jaliscensis, and Porophyllum lindenii.
