  • Description

    Yellow green, leaves wide-spreading dry. Seta 2 cm., red below, reddish brown above, smooth. Capsule arcuate, 2.5 mm, bronze brown, 1 mm thick. Operculum conic apiculate, redder than capsule, particularly on apiculus. Leaves 1.3 x 0.6 mm, ovate, gradually narrowly acuminate [sketch]. Costa 3/5. Acumination channeled. Median cells 40-50µ, 10:1, mostly parenchymatous. Alar in group @ 4 basal, 6 marg, quadrate to oblong. Upper cells parenchymatous, shorter. Serrulate in lower ½ of cell. Phenology of specimen: Sporangia.
