United States of America. Idaho. Clearwater Co. Clearwater National Forest, Clearwater Mountains between North Fork and Little North Fork Clearwater rivers. Plants abundant along roadcut on road from Aquarius CG to Smith Ridge, ca. 100 yds east of trailhead to Mallard Larkins Pioneer Area.

Habitat
Along roadcut. With Alnus sinuata, Salix scouleriana, Acer glabrum, and numerous additional plants of this species with highly variable flower color and leaf morphology. Surrounding forest of Abies lasiocarpa, Picea engelmannii, Tsuga mertensiana, and Abies grandis. Abundant. Soil coarse, derived from quartzite of the Belt Series of Precambrian rocks.

Flowers of this specimen very pale blue; leaves entire to very obscurely toothed. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
