Habitat
Restinga arbórea. Growing in forest, most developed ones in exposed areas, e.g. along roadcut. Associated with another species of Atractantha and Merostachys.

Description
Young culms hollow with thin walls and only three branches develop at the node, smooth, pale green, speckled. Larger culms are solid and more branches develop with the central one elongating. See TRS field book. Phenology of specimen: Sterile.
