Bamboo scandent and clambering, all vegetative; culms to 5-6 m long, 0.7-1 cm in diameter; internodes mottled, terete, smooth, basal ones (46) 65-72 cm long, higher internodes 32-39 cm long [see label for additional information]. Phenology of specimen: Sterile.

Atractantha radiata McClure BAMBOOS OF BRAZIL Bahia: Mun. Ilheus, 5.4 km southwest of Olivenga, road Olivenga-Vila Brasil, 100 m. 14°57' S, 39°10' W. Across a savanna at the edge of a restinga forest. Bamboo scandent and clambering, all vegetative; culms to 5-6 m long, 0.7-1 cm in diameter; intemodes mottled, terete, smooth, basal ones (46) 65-72 cm long, higher intemodes 32-39 cm long. Nodes with a promontory present, one bud per node; branch complement with one larger dominant branch with usually two smaller secondary branches on one side and three secondaries on the other.
