Habitat
Broad, open, willow-dominated streambottom. With mosaic of aspen, Mtn. big sagebrush, subalpine fir, and lodgepole pine of adjacent slopes; occasional-common with Salix boothii, S. lemmonii, Carex rostrata, Pinus contorta, Populus tremuloides and Veratrum californicum. Occasional-common. Soil 2 dm silt over gravel.
