Habitat
Abundant in a small area, not seen elsewhere. Geological Province: Piedmont.

Description
Stems mostly solitary from a stout caudex, often producing sterile clusters of leaves on short offshoots, but without creeping rhizomes. Leaves 7-14 below inflorescence. Rays 7-14, white with a faint suggestion of lavender. Involucral bracts with short spreading tip. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
