Habitat
Rather dry meadow. This rather dry meadow, from a short distance, appears to be solid blue for an acre with this plant.

Description
Plants to 3.5 dm. high, spreading some with 30 flower stalks; inflorescences bearing 2-4 whorls; corollas with sky-blue lobes and blue-purple tubes, lower lip pubescent within for 2-3 mm. with yellowish hairs, upper lip glabrous; calyx lobes recurving both in bud and fruit; filaments purple or whitish; style purple. Phenology of specimen: Fertile, Flower.
