Habitat
General vegetation: campo cerrado (a type of scrubby woodland originally) on upland, or very rarely forest. Open marsh or dense secondary forest ("mata") along the streams. This habitat: open abandoned field, originally cerrado, now newly planted to Eucalyptus. This specimen in small bare spot in dense growth of the grass "capim gordura". Soil light brown, sandy.

Description
Prostrate herb with radiating branches (some to 0.8m long) from taproot. Fls. pale yellow, standard with very thin faint purple vertical lines. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
