Subalpine shrubland of Symphoricarpos oreophilus, Artemisia tridentata var. vaseyana, Ceanothus velutinus, Populus tremuloides, surrounding forest of Abies bifolia, Valeriana sitchensis, Delphinium nelsonii, Taraxacum officinale, Populus tremuloides, Poa bulbosa and Poa pratensis. Common in area. With deep, gravelly soil.
