Habitat
In a very humid densely wooded ravine.

Description
Suberect shrub, 20 feet high, 8 inches thick; leaves leathery, dark green above, much paler beneath, hispid on both sides;flowers hanging in small clusters mainly from stem and larger branches; stalk pale green, turning reddish brown; calyx yellowish green, petals pure white as is the style; anthers light yellow; flowers early falling. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
