7960 ft elevation, canyon bottom in small stand of P.
acuminata
This stand of P acuminata is well isolated from current populations
of broad-leaved poplars with the nearest P.fremontii near the town
of Duchesne about 35 airline miles away and at 2700 ft lower
elevation. It was encountered at higher elevation than near-by P.
anguslifolia.
