  • Description

    Pileus 4-10 cm broad, conex to plane, dry, to moist, with white canescent UV fibrils on surface soon disappearing, brownish yellow to apricot yellow (5B-C8-7-6) +-overall, with some pale lilac gray at the margin when young, +-even overall when young, subrugulose at margin with age. Flesh white to pale orange white (4-5A2), unchanging, with mild odor and taste. Lamellae adnate, close, grayish violet (17C-D5-4) when young, soon developing cinnamon brown tones from spore maturation, with unevenly serrate edges. Stipe 7-15 cm long, 1-1.5 cm broad, ±equal with a slightly enlarged base, silky striate to fibrillose striate, pale lilac above annulus, white below, with white UV scale fragments near base; interior fibrous, solid becoming hollow in some, white above, ochraceous in the base. Annulus membranous, with thickened free limb, white ±overall but with an ochraceous free limb. Phenology of specimen: Basidiomata.
