Habitat
Campo cerrado on upland (or occasionally forest). Open marsh or dense secondary forest along streams. This habitat: abandoned cultivated field behind main house of fazenda, with dense growth of grasses & herbs 3-4 dm. tall. Originally cerrado vegetation. Poor soil, reddish-brown fine sand with a little clay.

Description
Trailing herb with woody root & stem base. Several stems from root trailing to 2 m. long. Corolla white; frt. light green burr. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
