Description
A fairly vigorous tree, 24.8 ft. x 12 inches dbh, apparently very old. This was the largest one in the clump and the largest specimen in the region. A small amount of butt rot was present. Near the upper limit of the range of this species. Voucher-material for wood samples, New York State College of Forestry. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.
