United States of America. Idaho. Custer Co. North slope of Pioneer Mountains, Upper Wildhorse Creek drainage, Challis National Forest. Rocky slope along west side of drainage, ca. 1.75 miles south of junction with Left Fork and immediately west and above large meadow along west side of stream, ca. 1.5 miles north-northeast of Old Hyndman Pk.

Habitat
On steep, rocky slope along west side of drainage. With Deschampsia cespitosa, Carex scopulorum, Agastache urticifolia, Erigeron asperugineus and Cryptogramma crispa. Abundant.

Description
Flowers blue on limb, the tube blue-violet to purple. Phenology of specimen: Fertile, Flower.
