On mild slope near escarpment. Mostly open vegetation with many siffrutices, some trailing vines, and occasional patches of low-branching, gnarled trees to 8 m. tall. Rare.

Tree, 5 m. Tree, 5 m., bark corky and deeply fissured, habit tortuous. Infructescences suberect, fruits olive-green, fragrant. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
