Salicaceae Salix discolor Muhl, det. M. Nee, 2020 WISCONSIN: Sauk Co., along Co. Hwy. N through Bear Creek floodplain. 43°19’40”N? 90°10’28”W. alt. 233 m. T 10 N; R 3 E; NE'ASE'A sect. 19. Marsh with Typha cf. x glauca, Cornus stolomfera. With Salix shrubs near road and perhaps periodically cut off and thus the normal habit uncertain. Shrub 3 m. tall, 2.5 cm. in diameter, 7 years old, difficult to find healthy stems larger than this; twigs dark brown. Very similar in habit to pistillate no. 65477 Salix discolor. Voucher for wood specimens at Kw, Lw, MADw, RSAw. Staminate, in anthesis. Coll.: M. H. Nee 65476 15 April 2020 Missouri Botanical Garden (MO) 05181331
