Vernonia steetzii Sch, Rip.
Sierra del Laurel, ca. 10 miles southeast of Calvfflo (2-3 hours by-
horse from Rancho de Las Adobes); dry forested slopes in zone
of Quercus and Arctostaphylos; elevation 2000-2300 m.
Occasional in oak woodlands.
Shrub 1 — 1,5 m. high; flowers lavender.
