W.H. Camp, No. E-1975 Tips of corolla lobes orange-scarlet, sharply r eflexed at an thesis; central portion orange; base scarlet. Fruit nigrescent. This growing as an independent plant on soil; but on several occasions small plants with very similar leaves were seen growing as parasites where this species was common. At no time were these plants in flower; nor did they seem very healthy. Without the flowers, one could not be certain that these were the same species, but they appeared to be.
