Sichuan Province, Baiyu Xian: Along tributary of Ou Qu (Ou
River) on south side of Ou Qu between Zhangdu-Xiang and
Marong-Xiang off province highway S455. 31°3'28"N, 99°6'12"E;
3510-3585 m. Remnant Abies-Picea (dominant) forest with Betula
dominant in logged areas and with evergreen Quercus on lower
slopes; with meadows and openings in thickets along river. On
moist slope in shade. Stems prostrate, mat forming; fruit red. DNA
material available.
