Habitat
in a very humid forested flat.

Description
Several stemmed clumps, descending from moss covered large trees, stem flattened somewhat, inbricately covered by the leaf bases; leaves horizontal or descending, twisted, folded toward the base, a trifle paler green beneath, sublucid on the upper side; the unbranched 3 feet long stem teriminated by a several spiked inflorescence; spikes terete, 1 foot long at least, ascending toward the tips, otherwise descending as the stem, yellowish, provided with persistent light yellow reflexed bracts; flowers odorless, soft in texture, dirty yellowish on the outside, yellow on the inner with purple spots and streaks.
