Riverside Cemetery, W of the Ontonagon River.
46°51’33”N, 89°19}26”W. alt 198 m.
flat, sandy soil, edge of cemetery and woods of Quercus
rubra, Populus grandidentata, Acer rubrum, Betula
papyrifera, Rhus typhina, with Corylus cornuta, Berberis
thunbergia, Syringa vulgaris, Rhamnus mthartica, 10 m
above floodplain of small creek, a tributary of the
Ontonagon River.
Large, much-branched shrub 2 m. tall. At edge of cemetery
and woods but probably not planted. Fruit green.
