Flat, sandy soil, edge of cemetery and woods of Querem
rubra, Populus grandidentata, Acer rubrum, Betula
papyrifera, Rhus typhina, with Corylus cornuta, Berberis
thunbergia, Syringa vulgaris, Rhamnus cathartica, 10 m
above floodplain of small creek, a tributary of the
Ontonagon River.
Patches of shrubs 1-3 m. tall.
