  • Habitat

    Shallow mill pond, evidently silted up and only about 30 cm deep in most places, but the water very clear. Carex stricta in the water around the margins and Persicaria robustior in deeper parts; on alluvium at surface of water Scirpus cyperinus, Carex lupulina; Lycopus virginicus and Mimulus (in shade); open, sunny mud flats with Ludwigia palustris; shallow water with Proserpinaca and Eleocharis.
