Highway 41 between Shandon and Creston at gate to 3045
Highway 41. North-facing hillside with foothill woodland;
Quercus lobata dominant above road. Many annual and
perennial herbs beneath and between oaks. South-facing slope
with crumbly white soil, dominated by annual wildflowers and
annual grasses. Roadside ditch/ravine on south side of
highway. Scattered on north-facing slope in partial shade or in
openings among oaks. Petals yellow.
