SHASTA COUNTY: Highway 299 about 3 miles west of
Hatchet Mountain Pass; tributary to Hatchet Creek, 1
mile west of Carberry Flat along Highway 299; T35N R2E
SW¼ of NE¼ Section 30 (Hatchet Mtn. Pass 7½
quadrangle); ca. 3850 ft elevation; riparian area along
the creek, in recent burn, growing in clumps at the
water line, in *Alnus tenuifolia-Salix lasiolepis* vegetation.
Two meter tall herbs, with horizontal, pubescent
rhizomes to 0.4 m long!
