23 miles southeast of International Falls. Voyageurs National Park. Rolling to steep
terrain. Growing in Deer Creek flowage on the Kabetogama Peninsula. Deer Creek
is about 40 meters wide at this site and slowly widening as it flows into
Kabetogama Lake (ID 69084500), a 24,000 acre, eutrophic basin. Found on the
eastern side of a small point where the creek meanders. Individuals sparse on
sampling rake tossed in water. Water depth: 1.2 meters. Water clarity poor; creek
bottom not visible from surface. Associates: Tolypella sp., Nitella clavata,
Vallisneria americana, Bidens beckii, Najas flexilis, Potamogeton gramineus.
