5 miles north-northwest of Hutchinson. Growing near the eastern shoreline of
French Lake (ID 43010900), a 40 acre basin situated in hummocky to rolling
terrain. Water clarity good. No shoreline development. French is a small basin
ringed with Nuphar variegata stands and with a shoreline fringed with Typha cf.
angustifolia. Individuals were locally sparse; growing near the edge of a Typha
stand. Water depth: 60 centimeters. Other associates included Chara contraria,
Nuphar variegata, Potamogeton zosteriformis, Utricularia vulgaris subsp.
macrorhiza, Ceratophyllum demersum. Silt substrate.
