Disturbed tropical evergreen forest, with huge Bertholletici excelsa and much large Cecropia, flat.
Vine to 14 rn high in tree; fruit hanging, green, the oldest ones here are pale yellowish green. Flowers with perianth bright orange, the inside of calyx yellow as are the petals.
