Treeland and grassland habitats at treeline. Extensive bogs present, and mosses in extensive sheets over bare cliffs. Boulders are mostly granitical. epiphyte on scattered trees along the river.

Symblepharis lindigii BRYOPHYTES OF BOLIVIA Depto. La Paz, Prov. Inquisivi: Aguas Termales de Calachaca Along the Rio Calachaca Jahuira in the area within 1 km in radius from the aguas termales. 8 km NW from Choquetanga. 67° 23' W., 16° 48' S. Treeland and grassland habitats at treeline. Woodlands consist of *Hesperomeles*, *Miconia*, *Barnadesia*, *Baccharis*, etc. Extensive bogs present, and mosses in extensive sheets over bare cliffs. Boulders are mostly granitical. Epiphytes on scattered trees along the river. The trees are mostly *Hesperomeles* and *Myrsine*, to 5 m high with moss cover 20-70%. Trees are in the open but effected by humidity from the river. Large cushions are common on *Myrsine* twigs. Ca. 3480 m.
