Juncaceae PLANTS OF WISCONSIN Toad rush Juncus bufonius L. F, WIS, MO, NY Door County. Township of Clay Banks. Shallow pools and sandy muck along dolomitic beach of Lake Michigan just east of S. Lake Michigan Drive. 44.711727N 87.348017W. Elevation 581 feet. Small, wiry, rush growing to 8" tall in a small, semi-shaded patch on limy muck of a dolomitic shoreline. Unusually low lake levels have exposed more shoreline this year. Growing with *Juncus* alpinoarticulatus, *Lycopus americanus*, and *Mentha canadensis*. Kevin A.
