several hundred meters from the now non-functioning train
station.

On more or less vertical roadcut of soft, friable shale, below
houses and above the sidewalk, unshaded, with other, mostly
weedy, plants, about 250 m from no, 56011, the same species
in a more humid, shaded situation. Plants obviously
genetically uniform, but differences in leaf size and whether
lobed or entire depending on how stressed the plant is; none
as vigorous as in no. 56011. Specimens from several plants
displaying different degrees of vigor. Flowers abundant,
apparently odorless (8:45 A.M., cloudy); Corolla violet. Fruit
abundant, and appears very healthy, wmm from stunted
plants, held downwards on reflexed pedicels, green, turning
purple-black, the surface dull.
