Macedonia community, 6 miles due east (or from Clayton, 17.4
miles west on U. S. Hwy. 76, right 0.2 miles on Barefoot Road;
1.1 miles east, then right again on Mt. Bert Rd, then toward
, Cowert Gap along Hightower Creek.
Along small gorge-like stream.
Annecdotal info: while leaving this area, I discovered two men
illegally collecting mosses from logs and rocks. 1 called USFS
law enforcement, who arrested them. USFS personnel are
attempting to restore/study the moss by replacing ft after ID.
