Zeerust, Farm Uitvlug: 25° 30.03’ S: 26° 1.001'E On stream bank, in pasture in full sun. Permanently waterlogged soil of dolomite black turf. Native and occasional. Savanna, with Phragmites australis. Perennial sedge, 4 m high, with rhizome present and plants in large tufts. Simple leaves with a stem clasping leaf sheath, alternate, glabrous, linear, 100x5- 10 mm, leaf margin dentate to serrate. Spikelets in a large panicle of up to to 1 mlong. Nutlets as fruit. H. J.
