Glabrous, twining, herbaceous vine. Leaves alternate, ovate, deeply cordate, enti^
acute or obtusish, on slender petioles up to about 7 cm. long. Flowers mostly 3-4 cm. long,
axillary, in several-flowered clusters, or more commonly solitary, pedicels 2-3 cm. long’
oblong to ovate, mucronate, corolla flesh-pink or rose, with a darker center.
jP^requent in thickets or trailing over rocks (9581, 10025, 10234). An infu-
sion of the branches in cave water was originally used for treating tubercu-
losis-. English name, wild morning-glory; native name, tefifi.
