Habitat broad flat of raised coral gravel, openings weedy, interspersed with
mangrove swamps. Very common on sandy f lats
and at edge of mangrove swamp.

Remarks Herbaceous vine, on ground and climbing over
bushes; flowers still open at 10 a.m. bright rose-
purple, deeper in center.
