2 miles north-northwest of Montgomery. Growing near the southern shoreline of
Pepin Lake (ID 40002800), a 400 acre shallow, eutrophic basin situated in rolling to
hummocky terrain. Northern half of basin topped out with Potamoget=n crispus.
Some areas of filamentous algae. Carp observed in shallows. Water clarity poor to
fair. Many nearshore areas devoid of submerged vegetation. Individuals seemingly
local and sparse at edge of Typha stand. Growing in 15 centimeters of depth. In
partial shade. Associates include Chara cf. globularis, Ceratophyllum demersum,
Najas flexilis, Zannichellia palustris, Potamoget=n crispus, Lemna trisulca. Silt
substrate. Elevation: 312 m.
